Meet the Photographer Behind Lumen


I'm Shawna, the photographer behind Lumen Imagery. My creative journey began 15 years ago in digital filmmaking, where I first fell in love with storytelling through light, movement and emotion. After having kids, my focus shifted from production to photography. Even now, that cinematic influence shapes the way I approach every shoot.


To me, photography is more than posed smiles and perfect outfits, although we get those things right too. But it's really about preserving something so much deeper. It's telling the story of your life in a way that feels honest, beautiful, and deeply personal.


My goal is simple:

to create images that feel warm, timeless and true to you -- photographs that let you remember not just what life looked like, but what it felt like to live in it. Your moments deserve to be beautiful.
